The company is looking for a skilled and detail-focused Structural BIM Engineer who can handle modeling and detailing of timber structures for international (US) projects. The position involves working closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to deliver accurate BIM models and construction drawings.
Candidates should be comfortable working on advanced BIM workflows and using specialized tools for timber construction modeling. – Structural BIM Engineer
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D BIM models for timber and wood structures using Autodesk Revit
- Prepare structural drawings including framing plans, elevations, and sections
- Work on light-frame wood, CLT (Cross Laminated Timber), and GLT systems
- Use timber-specific Revit plugins such as AGACAD Wood Framing tools
- Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and structural teams for clash-free models
- Ensure all designs follow US building codes and project standards
- Perform clash detection and coordination using BIM tools like Navisworks
- Develop shop drawings and construction documentation with high precision
- Maintain model quality, version control, and BIM standards throughout projects
- Assist in BIM execution planning and workflow improvements
🎓 Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- or related field
💡 Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Autodesk Revit (Structural Modeling)
- Experience with wood/timber modeling tools (AGACAD or equivalent)
- Knowledge of US construction codes and detailing standards
- Understanding of timber systems like light wood framing and mass timber
