Role Summary
The Project Engineer role at Hanwha Ocean is designed for professionals who can coordinate engineering activities across complex shipbuilding or offshore projects. This position acts as a link between design teams, production units, vendors, and project management, ensuring that technical requirements are met within approved schedules and budgets.
Project Engineers are expected to contribute to planning, execution monitoring, documentation control, and technical coordination, supporting the successful delivery of high-value engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, the selected candidate will:
- Support end-to-end project execution from engineering phase to delivery
- Coordinate with design, production, quality, and procurement teams
- Monitor engineering progress against approved schedules
- Assist in resolving technical queries raised during construction or fabrication
- Review engineering drawings and technical documents for project compliance
- Track action items and follow up with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in project review meetings and prepare progress reports
- Ensure alignment between engineering deliverables and site requirements
- Support risk identification and mitigation during project execution
- Maintain project documentation and technical records

Required Qualifications
Candidates applying for the Project Engineer role should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Engineering Management is an advantage
- Understanding of large engineering or EPC project workflows
- Knowledge of shipbuilding, offshore, or heavy engineering environments is preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Experience: 3–8 years in engineering or project coordination roles
