About the Opportunity Aldecor India
Aldecor India is expanding its commercial interior project team and is currently seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer with strong expertise in office and commercial interior fit-out works. This role is ideal for professionals who are confident in handling on-site execution, coordinating with multiple teams, and ensuring projects are delivered within quality, time, and budget expectations.
The company is looking for a detail-oriented and organized engineer who can take ownership of site activities, maintain high safety standards, and effectively manage manpower and materials.
Role Overview
As a Site Civil Engineer for commercial interior projects, you will be responsible for supervising site operations from planning to completion. You will coordinate between contractors, vendors, designers, and clients while ensuring that interior construction activities align with approved drawings and specifications.
This position requires leadership ability, practical problem-solving skills, and the capability to work in fast-paced project environments.
Key Responsibilities Aldecor India
1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Monitor daily site activities related to commercial interior works.
- Ensure materials are available and properly stored.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite.
- Supervise labor teams and subcontractors.
2. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare and manage work schedules.
- Track project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved.
- Communicate schedule changes to clients and internal teams.
- Coordinate activities between different trades to avoid delays.
3. Cost Control & Material Management
- Prepare preliminary cost estimates for materials and manpower.
- Monitor project expenses to ensure budget control.
- Coordinate procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Negotiate with vendors for cost-effective solutions.
4. Technical & Engineering Support
- Review and approve drawings before execution.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams.
- Identify and resolve on-site challenges.
- Suggest improvements in design or execution methods when required.
5. Quality & Safety Compliance
- Conduct quality inspections at various stages of work.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Implement corrective measures when necessary.
- Maintain documentation for quality control records.
6. Reporting & Communication
- Compile site progress reports.
- Present updates to management and stakeholders.
- Maintain clear communication with project managers and clients.
- Document project progress and deviations.
7. Team Leadership
- Assign responsibilities to team members.
- Conduct regular meetings and training sessions.
- Guide junior engineers and supervisors.
- Foster teamwork and accountability on site.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience in commercial interior projects (office fit-outs preferred).
- Prior experience working as a site engineer or similar role.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred for site mobility).
- Strong understanding of construction methods and interior finishing works.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and interior layouts.
- Knowledge of material specifications for commercial interior works.
- Familiarity with construction standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to analyze and solve technical issues on site.
