Role Summary

As a Highway Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed highway design deliverables using industry-standard tools. The role involves developing roadway layouts, alignments, profiles, and 3D models while ensuring strict compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed highway and road design drawings including alignments, profiles, and cross-sections
• Develop setting-out drawings, grading layouts, pavement layers, and typical sections
• Design and coordinate signage, pavement markings, traffic signals, and road furniture
• Extract quantities, profiles, and sectional data from design models
• Create 3D models of road corridors, junctions, and related infrastructure
• Work efficiently using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D
• Manage design data using CDE platforms like ProjectWise and BIM 360
• Maintain CAD and Civil 3D templates as per project standards
• Follow QA/QC procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Coordinate with internal teams and international stakeholders
• Provide technical support under the guidance of the CAD Supervisor

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 4 to 8 years of experience in highway and road design projects
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
• Hands-on experience with Civil 3D is highly preferred
• Understanding of international highway design standards
• Exposure to BIM workflows for transportation infrastructure
• Basic knowledge of ProjectWise, BIM 360, and Bluebeam
• Good communication and coordination skills
